We are delighted to announce that Avenidas Village, located in Palo Alto, California, has recently joined the Helpful Village platform! Located in the heart of Silicon Valley, Avenidas Village was founded in 2007 and helps enrich the lives of more than 300 seniors and their families each year.
Avenidas Village is a great example of how Villages can help members find professional providers that are recommended by being vetted in their local community. After recognizing the benefits of this process, we are excited to share a new feature of the Helpful Village platform called “Concierge Services” which will benefit all of our users! Our new feature gives Villages the ability to focus on referrals of outstanding providers in their community as well as their neighborhood volunteers.
How Does This New Exclusive Module Work?
Members can go to the Helpful Village website and ask for help with a Service Request. The Service Request is then reviewed by the Village coordinator, who can find the best-suited provider and match the member with a preferred provider. This member will then have a chance to rate the Provider's work and help other members of the Village find the best providers in the community.
The Helpful Village interface is designed for the specific needs of older adults and aims to assist all of our users in order to provide the most accommodating service possible. With help from many of our successful Villages, we continue to look for ways to provide the best experience possible for our clients.
